Theo Goetemann is the Founder of Basil Labs, a consumer intelligence startup that helps organizations quantify in store consumer experience (CX) to craft stronger brands, optimize their current locations and identify where to build next. With a background in open data policy and data science, Theo's work often joins narrative inquiry with network science and natural language processing and explores the intersection of virtual communities and the physical world. Originally from Boston, MA, Theo graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Government and was selected as a Fulbright research recipient in 2019. He is a cofounder of City78, an urban analytics startup and has worked in the open data and data journalism fields before starting Basil Labs.
