Nima Farshchi is the Director of the Center for Social Value Creation (CSVC) at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. Nima oversees the strategic direction of CSVC, focused on educating, engaging, and empowering Smith students to make a better world through business. Nima has a passion for how businesses can make the largest trickle-down effect on society through their practices.

Before arriving at Smith, Nima worked in charter school operations in both Washington, D.C. and Brooklyn, NY. He was the founding director of operations for Digital Pioneers Academy, the first computer science-focused middle school in Washington, D.C. Prior to that Nima worked at the United States Chamber of Commerce Foundation, leading a team to develop the Business for Good map, an interactive database analyzing 4500 corporate social responsibility initiatives of 140 corporations.

Nima is a proud Smith graduate from the University of Maryland with his Master of Business Administration, and prior to that receiving dual BS degrees in operations management and accounting, and also a minor in leadership studies.
