Virtual Chief Information Officer
Chris May is an Information Security Consultant and vCIO. Chris began his technology career at the US Naval Nuclear School in 1996 and later earned a degree in Information Technology Management from Western Governor’s University. As an IT/Security professional, Chris has been charged to work closely with executives and heads of departments to determine/research specific security issues and provide direction on security standards, security systems and authentication protocols. Proficient at coordinating cross-functional teams to plan, research and design robust IT and security architectures for extensive projects. His ability to determine the most effective way to protect computers, networks, software, data and information systems against any possible attacks is an asset to clients and partners.
Prior to his current role, Chris worked as an Operations Manager at DuPont Chemical where he gained valuable knowledge and experience in complex large-scale environments. This experience allows him to be proficient in maintaining liaison with both internal and external organizations in order to ensure compliance and smooth working practices. He also brings valuable experience in maintaining operational controls in order to meet the preset procedures and standards of a company.
Chris enjoys learning about different cultures and travels internationally as much as possible. Chris’ passions for his community have also lead to Board of Directors positions With Education Elevators and Manna Meal.
